These last few months have been an exciting time in the Gecko office. 2011 will see the first production by new Artistic Director, John Sheedy as he adapts Shaun Tan’s The Red Tree to the stage. We recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr Tan when he dropped into the office for a spot of afternoon tea. Much to our delight, he brought with him his (surprisingly heavy) Academy Award, won for best animated short film, The Lost Thing.
After we all oohed and ahhed over his statue, Shaun graciously posed for a few pics with his adoring fans and signed copies of his book, The Red Tree.
